Healing Starts Here

Mallory Ruark M.A., LMHCA
Trained in psychodynamic theory, I work with a wide range of individuals. My specialties include somatic therapy, grief, and trauma. I work with the ways the body carries unconscious stories that words alone cannot always express. I help clients process grief, whether that be from the death of a loved one or the loss of important relationships. Through an integrative psychodynamic and somatic approach, therapy becomes a space where both mind and body can participate in healing. My approach to care is relationally based, rooted in the belief that healing happens in the context of a safe, non-judgmental space.
Wading into the depths of our inner life is not a solo act. We need an "other," someone to bear witness to the heavy ache of grief, the persistent hum of anxiety, the weight of depression, or the lingering echoes of trauma. Whether the pain is sharp and immediate or has quietly shaped you for years, it deserves to be met with compassion and curiosity.
